Internet Governance
The Berkman Klein Center’s Internet governance work is a multi-disciplinary, collaborative, and extended investigation into several important aspects of the multi-layered system that defines the function, structure, and operation of the Internet at both the technical and application layers. This research includes developing a better understanding of the governance landscape and the mechanisms of effective governance, while contributing in meaningful ways to the debate over the future evolution of the Internet governance ecosystem.
Our Internet governance work proceeds through research, events, and collaborative partnerships. Much of our Internet governance work is done in conjunction with the Global Network of Internet and Society Research Centers (NoC), which includes partner research centers from around the world, including the Global South.
