BKC Faculty Associate Yong Jin Park writes about how global regulation of generative AI can be modeled on climate justice.
“My thesis is that just like the global standard on carbon emission, the global standard on AI bias is possible, and as the first step, the use of racially identifiable personal data can be banned in AI attached to specific sectors, such as medical and financial services…The validity of risk classification will also depend on whose risk is to be prioritized and how it will be weighed against competing risks.”
