Guzzo designs interdisciplinary collaboration at the Applied Social Media Lab, convening designers, engineers, policy experts, and creators to build public interest tech.
He draws on his background in filmmaking, education, and multimodal research to build and maintain socio-technical platforms for imagination and cooperation. Before this, Guzzo was a Communication Manager for the Edgelands Institute and an instructional designer and documentary filmmaker for social impact initiatives in Brazil. He is interested in interface design and how it mediates (mis/dis)information, cognitive bias, and ideology. Guzzo is also a DJ, a media awareness activist, an amateur badminton player, and a vibes manager.
