Alexis’ previous research has examined institutional design across issue areas, including public-private sector development of AI, data and cybersecurity regulation, and international security and outer space governance. She is passionate about healthcare security and the ways that technology can ethically help address public and social issues.
Alexis researched with the Missile Defense Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the U.S. Naval War College, and the Department of Neurology at Boston University.
Alexis earned an MPhil in Politics (Comparative Government) from Oxford University as a John Thouron Scholar, where her research examined multilevel, cross-sector engagement in refugee resettlement. Alexis holds a BA in Political Science (concentration in International Relations) and Classics from the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a 2017–18 Perry World House Student Fellow and an undergraduate fellow of the 2016–17 Penn Program on Democracy, Citizenship, and Constitutionalism (Andrea Mitchell Center). Alexis also undertook undergraduate studies at the University of Cambridge and is a 2019 Presidential Management Fellowship Finalist.
In her free time, Alexis enjoys playing squash and winter running.
