Internship Program 2020
BKC summer interns are deeply involved in our research projects and programs – they conduct collaborative and independent research under the guidance of staff, fellows, and faculty.
Interns tackle issues related to the Center’s current research agenda such as the legal implications of the Internet, the relationship between Internet and civic activity; and the intersection of technology and learning. Specific roles, tasks, and experiences vary year to year and project to project, depending on the Center needs and the interns' skills.
For summer 2020, we welcome undergraduate and graduate students to apply to two internship opportunities.
- Cyberlaw Clinic Legal Internship: The Cyberlaw Clinic hosts legal interns work on all aspects of the Cyberlaw Clinic’s caseload and take the lead on the projects they join, supported by the Clinic staff. This program is for US law students only. Cyberlaw Clinic internship applications are accepted on a rolling basis until all positions are filled. Details about this program including the application can be found here.
- BKC Project Internship: Berkman Klein projects host both undergraduate and graduate student interns coming from a wide range of disciplines. Project interns work closely with team members on specific projects, learning about the research and creating outputs guided by project needs. Each project team defines the types of students they seek for their project.
The BKC Project interns will share a 10-week program experience, running from June 1 to August 7, 2020. The program will include weekly activities and learning as a group, such as participating in special lectures with BKC faculty and fellows, engaging each other through community experiences like weekly interns discussion hours, and attending Center-wide events and gatherings with members of the wider BKC community.
BKC Project internship descriptions are listed below and more detail about the application and review process can be found on the Application FAQ page.
