Can we preserve this openness and its generative potential—against threats from "traffic-shaping" providers; from parasitic spammers; from proprietary overlays (DRM)? Can we replicate this openness on other networks, from the Internet NG to cellphones/Android to multimedia home-networking? Can new architectures such as mesh networking de-bottleneck the Net even further?
